What Counts? Investing In Souls!!!
Think about your life and really what counts. I have a question for you. What do you think the richest man in the cemetery thinks? Sometimes the world clouds our vision. The things we think are important are not that important! We can care about the weirdest of things. Think about this, you don’t won’t to be 80 years of age and ask yourself what have I done to make a difference. You ever heard the saying the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now. I think about my dad. For all his life he worked and saved money, partied on weekends. He probably never told anyone about Jesus, never helped someone else in another country. Never had a chance for change until I told him about Jesus, never really thought about the after life. If he could have only planted 20 years before he died into something that would last for ever, not in a retirement fund, which is a good thing, but has no value unless you use it for the Lord. What is your legacy? What have you invested in that will last. There is a lot more to give than just money. Go on a missions trip. Help your neighbor! Believe God for your family! Matt 6:19-21″Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” I’m probably speaking to the choir but we all have a second chance to do something now. I’m trying to encourage you for 2012! Go for it! Invest in souls!

Denise’s Corner:
Christmas was great. Joshua woke up Christmas morning and said “mom wake up, Caleb really is on the naughty list all Santa brought him was clothes. I got a basketball goal and a pogo stick. It was priceless. Another year has come and gone. I am looking forward to see what God is going to do in 2012. Joshua is playing basketball. Caleb’s running track and playing soccer. I am back on a work out plan. I have eaten anything and everything the last two months. That party is over, time to get myself under control. Jessica finished up her semester with a 3.5 grade point. She did great. Rusty is having his hip replaced January 23rd! He is looking forward to not having pain. Please keep him in your prayers during this time! Happy New Year!Love , Denise
